We have a very long history in our town.
A Little History of Kure
Since we have flourished a port city, many foreigners
visited our town. Also, Kure was famous for navy
base during the war time. As you may have heard
before, Battleship Yamato was build in
Kure. (Click

During the post war era, with our experience in ship
production, we became famous for cargo ship production.
In Kure Bay, you see many factories producing a ship as well
as metal. Also, Kure has one of the largest self
defense forces and relatively small US navy
base, which is another hint of war era. |

Regardless of how long you stay in Kure,
the first key step to survive in Kure is to learn some of
